Phoenix is Flare reborn. Flare didn’t fail. It finished. As the first aircraft in the Fictive Air series, it was sub-250g, prop-guarded, Category 1 compliant, and the only credentialed FPV aircraft to fly the 2025 Littleton Twilight Criterium. The mission profile that defined it had been completed.

Phoenix is what was built with everything Flare taught: respect for airspace, operational discipline, intentional design. The platform shifted from cinewhoop to freestyle squashed X. The frame went to the Djinn F25 for low CG and impact tolerance. The motors went to RCInPower 1404 Plus 4980KV for snap and recovery. The receiver dropped to a single-antenna RP1. Freestyle doesn’t need diversity. It needs durability: an antenna that can survive.

The DJI O4 Pro carried over from Flare. Same eyes, sharper aircraft. Sixty miles per hour comfortably, with headroom above. Loud, authoritative, and built for spaces where that’s appropriate. Same lineage. Different mission.
